1. Introduction
Max Farnon Digital, LLC ("MFD," "we," "us," or "our") operates scan.tryjass.com (the "Site"), a free introductory tool that analyzes resumes against job descriptions. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Site.
2. Information We Collect
When you use the Site, we collect:
- Resume Data: The content of the resume document you upload, used only for the duration of your scan.
- Job Description Data: The text of the job description you paste, used only for the duration of your scan.
- Account Information: Your name, email address, and a password you create when you sign up.
- Essential Cookies: We use cookies solely to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies.
3. How We Process and Store Your Data
- Resume and Job Description Data: Your resume and job description are processed in real time, in memory, to generate your compatibility score and gap analysis. We do not save your resume file or its contents to our databases or file storage, we do not keep a history of your scans, and we do not use your resume to train any models. Once your scan is complete, the data is gone from our systems.
- Automated Analysis Provider:To generate your analysis, the text of your resume and job description is transmitted securely to our analysis provider, OpenAI. Under OpenAI's API terms, this data is not used to train their models and may be retained by OpenAI for up to 30 days solely for abuse and misuse monitoring before being deleted.
- Account Information: Your email address and a securely hashed password are stored by our authentication provider to enable future logins. Your daily scan count is stored against your account to enforce fair-use limits; the counter contains no resume content.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide the resume scanning service.
- Operate and secure your account.
- Send you service communications and occasional email updates about the scanner and related MFD career tools (such as JASS). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Service Providers
We rely on a small number of service providers to run the Site, each bound by their own data processing commitments:
- Vercel — website hosting.
- Supabase — account authentication and storage of account information.
- OpenAI — automated resume analysis (see Section 3).
- Mailchimp — email updates for registered users.
- Resend — transactional emails such as account confirmation.
We may also disclose information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MFD, our users, or others.
6. Your Rights
Consistent with Florida law, including the data security requirements of Florida Statute § 501.171, and other applicable law, you may:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data, including your account.
- Withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time.

7. Data Security

8. Children's Privacy
The Site is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes to This Policy
